Community Solar Projects: Driving Sustainable Development and Renewable Energy Transition
On June 6, the commencement of panel installation at the 50-MW Beaver Dam Solar Project site was celebrated by Alliant Energy executives, construction partners, community leaders, neighbors, and participating landowners. This significant event signifies the positive impact of community solar projects. The Beaver Dam Solar Project, situated in Dodge County, Wisconsin, is an integral part of Alliant Energy’s Clean Energy Blueprint. This blueprint serves as a strategic roadmap aimed at accelerating renewable energy development, reducing carbon emissions, and promoting sustainability.
The completion of construction at the Beaver Dam Solar Project site is anticipated by the end of 2023. Once operational, this project will contribute to the overall goal of Alliant Energy’s Clean Energy Blueprint, which includes the development of 12 utility-scale solar projects in Wisconsin. Collectively, these projects will generate nearly 1,100 MW of clean energy.
