Emergent Solar Completes Impressive 210-kW Solar Installation at Abel Construction Company in Indianapolis
Emergent Solar Energy has recently finished a notable commercial endeavor: a 210-kW bifacial solar installation mounted on the roof of Abel Construction Company’s headquarters in Indianapolis, located near the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Notably, the building houses Abel Motorsports, the proud owner of a racing team participating in the Indy NXT racing series (formerly known as Indy Lights) sanctioned by IndyCar. In an exciting development, Abel Motorsports is entering a car with driver RC Enerson in the prestigious 2023 Indianapolis 500.
Jeremy Lipinski, the managing partner at Emergent Solar Energy, situated in the Purdue Research Park of West Lafayette, expressed the significance of the project as one of the largest of its kind in Indianapolis. Lipinski highlighted that the installation serves as a prime example of how solar energy can seamlessly integrate into existing commercial buildings, providing utility cost savings, economic benefits through commercial tax incentives, and aiding businesses in achieving their sustainability objectives.
